WHAT IS SWASTH?
According to the World Health Organization, 649 million people in India alone do not have access to basic medicines such as supplements. In a growing world with a rapid rate of population growth, the importance of medicine as a basic necessity has never been greater. However, the 'medicine disparity' is shocking. People in higher economic strata often have a large amount of medicine that is wasted due to poor storage or non-usage, while people in lower economic strata struggle to get basic medicines.

'Swasth', a Hindi word, translates to 'healthy' in English. This project aims to improve the health of as many people possible. 'Swasth began as a collaboration between two high school students in the Dhirubhai Ambani International School: Arjun Shukla and Shawn Chauhan. Swasth aims to collect unused and unexpired medicine from people to donate it to a non-profit organization, the Setu Charitable Trust, for the treatment of underprivileged patients.
